Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Tasman range?

Tasman is a premium range of portable spas, crafted in Australia by Spa Industries and available in New Zealand exclusively through Silver Spas. Built to handle the harsh Australasian climate, every Tasman spa delivers powerful hydrotherapy, ozone and UV sanitised water, and energy-efficient, all-season performance, backed by the Silver Spas name and support.

Where are Tasman spas made?

The Tasman range is proudly Australian made, manufactured by Spa Industries. Silver Spas brings the range to New Zealand, so you get genuine Australian craftsmanship alongside local Kiwi support, delivery and aftercare.

How is the Tasman range different from the Silver Spas range?

Both ranges deliver premium hydrotherapy and the cleanest water. The main difference is where they're built and some of the technology inside. Tasman spas are Australian made and feature Ozone and UV sanitisation as standard, Arctic Insulation, an Eternawood cabinet and a Gecko control system. Our team can help you compare models and find the right fit for your space and budget.

What warranty comes with a Tasman spa?

The Tasman range carries its own manufacturer's warranty from Spa Industries, which differs from the Silver Spas warranty. Highlights include a 15-year TuffBase and TuffFrame warranty, a 15-year shell structure warranty, and 5-year cover on the heater, pumps and plumbing. For the full terms, see the Tasman warranty card or contact our team.

Which Tasman spa is right for me?

It depends on your space and how you like to relax. The Round 2.1 suits sociable, open seating for six. The Lounge 2.0 and 2.3 add a dedicated lounger for full-body relaxation, in five and six-seat sizes. The Dual 2.0 and 2.3 feature twin recliner lounges for side-by-side soaking. Our team can help you choose, or visit our Penrose showroom to see the range.

Do Tasman spas plug in, or do they need to be hardwired?

This varies by model. Most Tasman spas require a hardwired connection installed by a qualified electrician, while some smaller configurations can run from a standard supply. Check the specifications on each product page, and always have installation carried out by a qualified electrician as required.
